iPhone

Apple released the iPhone today. it’s simply amazing. steve jobs had a keynote address today at macworld annoucing a lot of new Apple products, but honestly the iPhone is the main one of interest to me. i talked to matt from thefoodass.com and from the research he did on the phone, it won’t be locked to cingular very long. however it will probably be sometime in late ’07 before i’ll be able to get my hand on one. until then my sidekick 3 will have to do.

i’ve got a ton more things to rant about, but we are trying to keep it positive this year, so i will reframe.

p.s. i got the most amazing present from whitney today. it’s a polaroid One600 Classic camera. i cannot express how excited i am to start taking photos with this thing. i’m picking up some film tomorrow morning and will have a ton of photos soon. i just have to find a scanner now. 🙂

here’s one more photo just cause it looks sweet.

Thanks for this post. I’m most excited about the ‘Minority Report’ gesture interface is amazing. I’m not a huge fan of the silver case/frame. The biggest deal breaker is the fact that it’s only available on Cingular. Cingular’s customer service and plans remind me of a fun house at the carnival that you can’t get out of 🙁 Don’t let that take anything away from the iPhone – again, it looks like an amazing device.

thanks for the comment mike. i agree about it being locked into cingular, when they release it in europe it will be unlocked and i’ll just import one. it sounds like almost all the feature will work aside from random access voicemail.

I’m glad you liked the camera. I’m excited for you to use it as well. Polaroid’s are like Nintendo NES…old school, but always fun.
