30 days

I’ve decided to give two things a try for the next 30 days.

  • Becoming a vegetarian
  • Workout three times a week

Working Out?
Now I’m sure most people are wondering what I’m thinking. Well I’ll try and explain. The working out part I think is obvious. I have sat at a desk, looking at a computer for the past 3 years and lets just say I’m not exactly in shape. Even being as mini as I am, I’m still a good ten pounds over weight.
Vegetarian?
Well there isn’t a solid answer really. It was more a group of things that all happened at once that made be decide to try this. For starters I’m a very curious person and love learning about new things. I also recently starting hanging out with this amazing girl named Whitney who happens to be a vegetarian and 2 days after that Steve Pavlina posted this blog entry about vegetarianism. Aside from a odd coincidence of the two I started to wonder what it was all about. I wanted to try and understand what it was like for Whitney to be a vegetarian and after reading Steve’s article about the health benefits of it I decided I should give it a try.
Why 30 Days?
Well most people will associate 30 days with that tv show Morgan Spurlock hosts. However it’s actually another article written by Steve called 30 Days to Success. I won’t go into the article to much aside from giving you a quick idea of what it’s about. Basically it talks about giving something a good and fair try before saying it is or isn’t for you and I respect that.

So there you have it, my decision’s. So why post it here? Well for one I love keeping a journal of things to look back on and it also helps serve as a type of motivation and accountability. I’ll update this page through out the 30 days with insights, problems, or rants. Either way it should be pretty interesting.

If anyone has any advice or suggestions please leave a comment.

I’ve been vegan for almost two years now, and when I first started as a vegetarian I found that if I was ever having any doubts as to my choice I would just think about how cruelly the animals that are raised for food are treated.
