Have you heard any or all of these before? Well I have, and if you have a job in computers or are a student in computer science/engineering, chances are you have too. I spent a good part of my college years trying to help people with their computer problems, but then I realized something…I am not a computer repairman. I am a software engineer (with a degree in computer engineering), so I spent my college years learning algorithms, design principles, programming, web development, architecture, etc. I did not spend my time studying computer diagnosis, network troubleshooting, virus prevention/recovery, Windows specifics, nor anything associated with computer repair. EDIT: it turns out IE hates my javascript so i have it all disabled right now. what does this mean? no cool effects when you click on my photos. i’ll fix it when i have some free time…prolly next year.

i turned 25 yesterday… man i’m getting old! i wanted to thank everyone that came to my birthday party and for all the amazing presents! it was really nice to spend my birthday with close friends and family! 🙂

i did get one present that i thought was particularly cool. not because of the cost or how hard it was to get, but because of the thought that went into it. these the some of the coolest coasters i’ve ever seen! i’m probably partial to them because they have my photos of them though…hehe. my girlfriend whitney found this cool place online that will make custom coasters with your own photos on them and made me a set. they’re pretty much amazing!!! thanks whitney!!!
